What is the point of life? What purpose do we have for living?

What is the answer for this question? Well.. Let me tell you one thing... I cannot even begin to explain how long this one thought has literally pissed me off!!

But, that was a long time back, Back in 10th standard thats around the time that I started really getting into a lot of questions and started trying to find answers, but as you can see I could have really picked a better time.

While people kept hurrying and furiously studying for their ever so important "10th standard board exams", I kept asking people whats the meaning of life? why do we live? Well.... needless to say I was faced with some blank stares and quite a lot of furious remarks.

I never really understood it, in fact back then I was all too much into a completely separate world of my own, filled only with questions but no good answers and no one to show me the way, at least not the way I was asking directions for anyway.

Well, due to all the ahem "pressure" on me, if not to do well at least, but at the very least for the love of god, to just pass... which at that time I thought of as a HUGE BURDEN!!

Though, I never really understood why it was that I was writing my exams in the first place!! why the hell was I trying to mug up stuff just to spit it out to some paper later on and just forget about it a few days later? Why the hell were the things so easy to understand, yet so difficult to memorize?? And more importantly... why the hell was I flunking everything??!!

But coming back to topic, there is only one thing I have learnt in life, every thought, every thing around is done because of the thought of some person somewhere, there actually is no true rule book or book of right or wrong, every single thought that has ever been conceived is because of some human being at some place in the world at some point of their time, so in essence everything around us is based on opinions of some human being somewhere, so what I am trying to say is that there is nothing written in stone.

Which is what I would say for this too, this is just my opinion, you can choose to like it and use it as your own since I am not the first one to use or think it up and neither will I be the last, this has been going on for ages, ever since the dawn of man actually.

Its all very simple really. In earlier time, Man's sole goal was survival, Survival!! just survive to see the next day, at this point of time, he was not thinking of anything else, nothing else was that important, the only important thing was to live! survive!! Hopefully you can see tomorrow!!

But that was a long time ago, then along came farming and other brilliant ideas, that made man very comfortable, now he is not so worried about survival anymore, since he has no potential predators that he keeps needing to be alert for, nor does he need to keep hunting for food, a trip to the local market would fix that problem.

So now, now he has time, he has time to think about things other than survival, now he thinks about "other things", what do I do today? how do I pass the time? Which food tastes better? which girl looks good? which shoes should I buy? What book do I read? Who do I think is right...

Then finally comes the question, what the hell am I doing here on earth? what am I here for?
and then, over time... this question has been answered, time and time again, all mostly misleading, since they are all in essence, someone's opinion that you are subscribing to.

Many of them are such,

why am I on Earth, - you are on Earth to serve god! you must live life well to earn your place in Heaven - okay, why would I want to go to heaven? Because its a lot better than hell!!

Why am I on Earth? what Is my purpose on life?? - your purpose in life is to serve your country! Okay, serve against what? Against other countries! Okay... what exactly is the purpose of these countries? To protect its citizens of course. But those citizens are there for protecting the country...

So, basically what i am trying to say is, there is no clear cut answer to that question stated above if your interested in finding out the answer to that. Because everything around us is just the opinion of some human who thought it up for whatever reason. And its not even a new thought, this question has been plaugeing people for a loooooooooong time and will continues to plague people for time to come.

So, if thats the case, then what do you do? If everything around you is up for debate, limited only by the extent of your imagination or someone else just like you, what do you do??

Well, when I came to this point, I realized something, by asking this question for which I am pretty sure there is no true answer, I am wasting away all of my life in depression just because I don't have this answer.

That's when I made a decision. I am going to be stupid! Turns out being stupid has its uses after all. I am going to be stupid and not ask this question and just look around be generally happy... and Ill look for the answer, Maybe I will find it or not... but It does not matter, since Ill be happy untill then, and thats the most important thing, Because when it comes down to it... I am only Human.

Its like they say when it comes down to it, everyone has a choice, they can either question everything in life and maybe never find those answers or just keep it aside and keep looking for clues, while at the same time enjoying their life.

So I bid you... Be stupid, stop asking questions that make no sense, it helps since emotions have no logic and happiness is an emotion.

I am writing this down just in case for people who are asking this question, I have been through that and I can assure you I don't have an answer, But I can also assure you, I am very happy...
